STRAWBERRY COFFEE CAKE8 oz. cream cheese, softened, 1/2 C. butter, softened, 3/4 C. sugar 1/4 C. milk, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 C. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/4 tsp. salt 3 C. fresh strawberries, sliced, 1/4 C. brown sugar, 1/2 C. chopped almonds Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in milk, eggs, vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add to cheese mixture. Mix until smooth. Spread half of batter in greased and floured 9 by 13 pan. Spread berries evenly over batter. Dot remaining batter over berries. Mix brown sugar and nuts. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 for 40 min. Serve warm. |
