Over the past years, thousands of students, teachers and parents have visited our pumpkin patch for an educational and fun field trip. You are invited to bring your class again this year. Many teachers report that this is their favorite field trip of the year!

Nordic Ridge Gardens' tour guides will provide an enjoyable educational tour, especially designed for children ages 3 through 5th grade. Children will be given age appropriate lessons on modern day farm life, pumpkin and strawberry growing and visit our farm animals as well. This fun-filled tour gives children an opportunity to learn while having a good time.

Our program consists of four 20 minute stations: a tractor-drawn hayride through our 20 acre fruit and vegetable farm featuring many whimsical scarecrow scenes along the way; a stop at the livery to learn about draft horses and how they are useful on the farm; time to walk through our new barn maze and use the giant tube slide; a chance to visit our farm animals, including goats, ducks, rabbits, chickens, horses and more! And, each student may choose a child-sized pumpkin to take home as a reminder of their visit.

We also offer a self-guided tour that consists of the tractor-drawn hayride, two hours to spend on the farm, and a child-sized pumpkin for each student. This less structured option has been particularly popular with our youngest visitors and small groups. Please call for more details.

Dates:
Mid-September through October, Monday - Friday.
Early season dates are more desirable due to more favorable weather conditions.
Reservations fill up quickly, so don't delay!

Times:
The tour is an hour and 30 minutes long. Tours start at 9:20, 11:05 and 12:35 (other times available by arrangement.)
Please arrive 10 min. early--so tours can start promptly.

Price:
$6.00 for each person (student, parent and siblings). There is no charge for one teacher and one paid school staff per class. There is a minimum charge of $75.00. Please pay upon arrival.

Weather:
Weather always varies, so it's best to have the children dress in layers. In case of heavy rain some outside portions of your visit will be replaced with an inside talk. There are no weather related refunds. Rescheduling can be difficult as time slots are often filled.

Facilities:
Playground, picnic area, restrooms, and handwashing facilities are provided. Playground / picnic area use is limited to 30 minutes following your group tour and is available on a first come first serve basis.
